Mistakes in the Name of God
Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart told his cheering flock, "I'm trying to find the correct name for it . . . this utter absolute, asinine, idiotic stupidity of men marrying men. . . . I've never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry. And I'm gonna be blunt and plain; if one ever looks at me like that, I'm gonna kill him and tell God he died." After a recent arrest for soliciting a prostitute, we wonder whether he's in a position to critique marriage. -- Sept 21, 2004

Tumbling Man
As America mourns the loss of 3000 people who were killed in the worst terrorist attack on American soil, it may behoove us to remember those whose lives we could save but choose not to do so in many countries. Aids is still around, in case you were wondering. --September 11, 2004

Immaculate Misconception
During Ronald Reagan's tenure, tens of thousands of Americans died of AIDS. Many more became infected. Hospitals in metropolitan centers were full of people suffering and dying from complications from AIDS. For years, activists begged, pleaded, lobbied and marched in the streets to get the attention of the "Great Communicator," who remained silent. Fresh from hell, he pens a letter to John Paull II, in peparation for his arrival. -- June 6, 2004

Aborters Wanted
Attorney General John Ashcroft insisted that doctor-patient privacy is not threatened by a government attempt to subpoena medical records in a lawsuit over the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act. At least six hospitals have been targeted by subpoenas, including facilities in New York and Michigan. Luckily the threat of terrorism has disappeared, the CIA has figured out how to improve their intelligence, and the idiot who leaked CIA operative Valerie Plame's name to Robert Novack has been punished.
