Post Traumatic Press Syndrome
In the wake of the September 11 attacks, Artforum, New York's prestigious art magazine pulled an advertisement for an annoy.com exhibition. We look to publishers and editors to provoke and provide us with the free exchange of ideas, not the suppression of information. We expect far more from an art magazine simply being paid to publish an advertisement for a First Amendment exhibition.

As the number of infections grew to eight and number of cases of possible anthrax spores spread to a fourth country, dozens of tests came back negative, findings that officials used to demonstrate that each anthrax attack, so far, has not infected many citizens or amounted to widespread exposure.
RIAA Responds
Bush asked Congress for unprecedented surveillance and detention powers as a response to the deadly Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Demonstrating their sensitivity, lobbyists for the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) tried to glue a hacking-authorization amendment onto the mammoth anti-terrorism bill that Congress approved.
